Title – VLAN Tagging Design and Configuration
A Ubuntu PC and Windows XP PC is connected to a Cisco 2950 switch.The respective ports on the switch to which the computers are connected are configured to support 802.1q vlan tagging for vlan 2 and 3. Multiple IP addresses are created on Ubuntu and Windows ( as shown) and mapped with the respective vlans. The necessary configurations required on Ubuntu, Windows and Cisco 2950 switch for the design is identified. The computers should be able to ping each other with the both the ip addresses ( 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1 on Ubunutu should be able to ping 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.2.2 on Windows XP respectively.
