Abstract

In this paper the issues with Network address translation (NAT) with IPSEC is understood. The different types of IPSEC, Transport and Tunnel Mode along with the corresponding protocols like AH and ESP and how a NAT applied packet affects the IPSEC generic packet is analyzed. Packet level explanation is performed and suitable recommendations are made to resolve the problem.
