Project Scope

The project is to develop a program which would connect to a Cisco 2611 XM router from a remote PC and display the processes running on the same with TCL and Expect.

Hardware and Software requirements

Hardware – Cisco router ( 1nos), Switch (1 nos), PC (Windows or Linux)

Software – TCL, Expect (Free download)

How to implement the project

Setup a lab , with the router and the PC connected to the switch. Configure the interface of the router and the PC with IP address belonging to the same network. Install TCL and Expect on the PC. Create a script with TCL and use expect to initiate telnet connection to the router. Execute the appropriate command on Cisco router to display the running process.
